At the last Cabin Owners Association meeting, we briefly discussed the issues surrounding Cybernet Communications Ltd's internet tower at the top of the toboggan hill.
This tower was built last summer without a permit and has since been granted a temporary license to allow it to remain over the winter. Its owner wishes to use it to sell internet service to the cabin owners.
Several cabin owners have expressed concerns about the tower's impact on the visual quality of the area.
Since there was an error in Cybernet's original application, the Ministry of Lands has required that the applicant re-apply for the tower permit. This includes re-starting the public consultation process.
